Jacob Deakins, MD - MD

Jacob Deakins, M.D, DABFM, FAWM is co-owner and Medical Director of Inland Wellness and Vitality, a specialty clinic focused on integrative and functional medicine.

Having worked in various aspects of medicine including primary care, urgent care, and emergency medicine, he realized that the system was broken. Patients were often rushed through their visits without adequate explanations or diagnoses for their problems. He realized the system was focused on sick care and not well care. His current focus is on hormonal and metabolic health, focusing on his patient’s unique needs through a detailed consultation and lab evaluation. This approach allows Dr. Deakins to uncover the root cause and establish a meaningful patient-physician collaboration to achieve optimal health. With his patients now experiencing optimal health from the inside-out, it was a natural transition to incorporate aesthetics to allow them to look their best on the outside as well. Dr. Deakins is married with 4 children who all enjoy travel, snowboarding, fly fishing, and most anything involving being in nature. He believes health is derived by focusing on our diet, exercise, nutrition, and our relationship with ourselves and our connections to others.
