First visit and was very happy. First booked appointment online and got a call back in less than hour. Second got me in the next day. Warm welcome upon arrival. Short wait. Met with the PA who was very friendly and competent. Explained everything in understandable language.
Wonderful experience. I will absolutely be back to see Melissa and her staff.
Scott Smith is gracious and friendly. I like being seen on time and being treated quickly and efficiently. An appointment reminder by phone is always appreciated!

Elizabeth was great. She is very clear, reassuring, and straightforward. I had an easy time scheduling and was treated well by all the staff. I have a friend who goes here as well and she also had a positive experience. Both of us felt that the people at Valley Dermatology were able to make sure to offer the least expensive option to meet our needs.

Elizabeth and the rest of the staff were sweet and helpful. Elizabeth gave great information and did a full body skin check that put my mind at ease. I was greatful for her not suggesting to remove anything unless it became more suspicious. I will be returning in a year.

I used to go to a small clinic when I first started needing services but my dermatologist retired. Advanced Dermatology was where all of the patients charts ended up. I went a few times, but never really liked it. I think it was just too busy and loud and big. I decided to try Valley Dermatology. I saw Elizabeth and thought she was great. I love the feel of the office. Smaller, so it fits better with my personality.

The office was really nice and the girl working the front desk was great. The nurse was super kind but when it came to the dermatologist i was NOT impressed. When Dr Elizabeth came into the room she didn’t even bother to look at my skin and stood a good distance away from me. When i told her that I’ve had severe allergic reactions to most topical creams/ointments she immediately tried to push accutane. I found her to be quite rude and a bit condescending when i told her i couldn’t remember the names of all of the previous medications ive tried to use. I have some acne but no where near needing accutane. Instead, she still insisted on prescribing a topical treatment despite my hesitation and me explaining my history of allergic reactions. I used it two times as perscibed and I’m now covered in a horribly painful rash that’s taking forever to go away. I don’t even want to bother going back in and wasting my money to tried to get this rash resolved, I’d rather sit it out and wait a few weeks to go back to my normal derm. I won’t be going back to this dermatologist.
Dr. Elizabeth Jacobsen is an absolute joke and rude on top of it! I don’t even live in Spokane Valley, but drove there because of the good reviews this clinic had. What a waste of time and money! Before the doctor even came in the room I could hear her talking to the nurse saying that I had Seborrheic Dermatitis and she hadn’t even met me yet! Then when she came in I told her my concerns and why I feel that it might not be that and she looked at me like I had no idea what I was talking about. I told her I was having tenderness/irritation/pain on the front part of my scalp and that it would sometimes get red. She told me that that was neurological and had nothing to do with the skin. Are you kidding me?! I never even got to tell her all of my concerns because every time I’d say anything she would just say well this is what you have and that doesn’t have anything to do with it. I’m almost 30 years old and NOT ONCE have I ever had any sort of skin issue until I started using natural shampoos and I tried explaining that to her, but she would still just tell me what she was diagnosing me with and that she was giving me 2 prescriptions. I told her I didn’t come in to get prescriptions. I came in to have someone talk to me about what could be causing this when I have never had a problem in nearly 30 years and that there is clearly a correlation between when I stopped using chemical shampoo. Every time I would speak she would just stare at me blankly like she was annoyed with me and then continue about whatever she felt fit to talk about which was only 1 of 3 things – you have seborrheic dermatitis – no one knows what causes it – I’m giving you prescriptions. After her blatantly ignoring my concerns multiple times I stormed out of the clinic crying and had made no progress in finding out what was causing my discomfort. Who knows at this point how much money I wasted, but I know for sure I wasted quite a bit of gas and hours of my time. I will NEVER set foot in this office again and I will be spreading the word about Elizabeth Jacobsen. What a waste of a doctor. I can find more information by doing a simple google search. Don’t waste your time or money going to Valley Dermatology.

OUR FIRST VISIT WITH DR. SMITH WENT EXTREMELY WELL. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE SKIN PROBLEM MY HUSBAND WAS HAVING. HE SET MY HUSBAND UP ON A NEW PATH TO CLEAR SKIN. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME WE’VE BEEN GIVEN ANY HOPE OF CLEARING IT UP. DR SMITH AND ALL OF THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY.
