  • Love coming in and seeing the staff here. Reliable and always available for an appointment.

  • I took my wife here to have a small procedure by Dr Lawler. He is a fantastic Dr and we had a very pleasant and positive experience. Dr Lawler has a great bedside manner and listened to everything we had to say and offered some no pressure solutions. The location was easily accessible, very clean with friendly front office staff and nurses. It is definitely a place I would recommend and will be using again. Awesome Experience!

  • Very professional and very clean. Full service dermatologist and aesthetic services.

  • I have coming here for years. I would change Dr for any reason.

  • I went here about a year ago after finding this place through my insurance. It was supposed to be in network and mostly covered by my insurance. I went in, they asked a few questions, took my blood and gave me a general diagnoses. This couldn’t have taken more than 10-15 minutrs. A few weeks later they call me back upon receiving my blood results. They told me my condition isn’t necessarily treatable but it could get better with time. I did my fair share of research when my issue arose, so I was prepared for that response. Overall my experience wasn’t unpleasant and they did a fairly good job diagnosing my problem.

Now onto why I am giving this place 2 stars.
As I mentioned earlier, I only came here because it was in network. Meaning my insurance would cover the large majority of the cost and I would foot what they don’t cover. Pretty standard procedure. That was what I thought until I got a $700 dollar bill in the mail. It turns out, although my office visit was indeed covered, they sent my blood work to a location in Florida which was, not suprisingly, out of network. They did a total of 4 tests, told me my situation wasn’t treatable and then sent me a bill for $700.

This is nothing against Islands doctors and facility. As I said, the overall experience was pleasant and they seem quite knowledgeable. This is entirely a billing issue. If you plan to go here for your dermatology needs and you are expecting them to be completely in network, learn from me. Do your due diligence and make sure without a doubt they will be in network from the office to the tests.

To the Island employees. Be more transparent. I know working with insurance companies can be a pain in the butt, but you should make efforts to discuss options with your patients when things like this occur. I highly doubt you only have one place you use for blood tests but if that is the case, it would have been nice go to know it was out of network.

  • Esthetician did a poor job. I went in for some extractions. She left quite a few spots alone even tho they were just as eligible for extraction. Like 5 other tiny stubborn acne. And she probs did 5 total of the 10. It was a timed session and she went for doing a face massage with some lube instead…plz go somewhere where you get your money’s worth. Mine wasnt covered by the insurance unfortunately.
This was an upsetting experience. I’m going somewhere else to get the job finished.

  • I normally don’t leave reviews but I had to take the time to mention what a very kind staff! My experience there has only been positive. The doctors take the time to get to know you not just on a patient level but on a friendly level as well. I feel as though they take the extra mile to get to know their patients instead of just checking off a list of questions to diagnose your problem.

I leave the clinic every time satisfied with the care I recieved. Thank you!! 😁

  • Its one of the #1 Dermatology clinics in the state. Its a state of the art facility with board certified doctors. They use the most up to date and best methods for your skin.

  • Used to be 5 star when Dr. Baron was there, but now he’s very rarely there. I want a dr, not an arnp.

  • To anyone looking for acne surgery: don’t get it here. Don’t get me wrong, the esthetician here is nice and does a fine job. The problem is the billing situation. I was told that my insurance would cover my acne surgery for sure, lo and behold the $200 bill I received a couple months later.

I understand now that billing through insurance isn’t always transparent but the person at the front desk certainly made it out to be that way. It feels as though they were just trying to entice me to make appointments by assuring me it was covered fully when they had no way of knowing for sure.

If you need acne surgery, you might as well go to a licensed esthetician outside of the office. Here, it’s more than a hundred dollars for what amounts to being twenty minutes of extractions and from my experience, there’s no difference between that and a spa…except for the price.

The lack of transparency is ridiculous. I should’ve received a paper estimation of the cost just like any medical office does with insurance.

  • Jennifer Hall is a miracle worker and a true artist. I have had various services (Botox and fillers) and I always leave feeling more beautiful, not overdone.

The staff is super friendly and they are very accommodating in terms of time and services.

    I highly recommend!

  • Jennifer and the staff at Island Dermatology are the best. They knew exactly what I was looking for and the results were amazing. I spent quite a bit of time researching clinics and I am so glad I chose them. They are very professional and Jennifer is a perfectionist, which I appreciate so much when it comes to my skin and treatments.
