This is regarding Dr. O’Connell’s Preventative Medicine/Men’s Health Program. Great value for the expertise provided. Clearly well read and well educated. My program included consultation, lab interpretation, lifestyle discussion, medication management, symptom monitoring, body composition assessment . After having signed up for a year long program at another Bellevue Testosterone mill, this was an entirely different experience. Akin to a concierge medicine model. 5 star. This doc knows his stuff! Highly recommend!
It’s been 3 weeks since my MiraDry treatment and I couldn’t be happier! I was a little nervous due to the videos that are out there, but the procedure at Serenity was completely different. They used an injectable applicator that made the process of numbing so fast and easy. The actual procedure took about an hour and it was a breeze. You are completely numb so all you feel is a little pressure. I have suffered from excessive sweating ever since I can remember and for once in my life my underarms are dry and odor free. I haven’t used deodorant or antiperspirant since the day before the treatment. Yay me! I would totally recommend this treatment for anyone suffering from excessive sweating in their underarms or stinky pits 😉

I have been a triathlete for the past decade. Now near fifty – a few years ago I sought out reasons why my performance had been slipping. I have been pursuing nutritional , hormone, and supplementation expertise – and doing so through another facility. Through my own research I began question the administration of the hormone replacement piece of my my program. Namely testosterone shots and blocking estradiol. I sought ought a different opinion through SRC and Dr. O’Connell. I have achieved better steady states of testosterone, my lipid profile has improved and my estradiol is up ( not blocked). Through the research presented to me the estradiol piece has been an important deviation from my prior protocol. I am very happy with the expertise at SRC and with Dr. O’Connell . Highly recommend.

Came to Dr. O’Connell and Serenity Rejuvenation for melasma and Picosure treatment. This is becoming an explosive phenomenon in other asian country which is where I had heard about. I had another laser treatment that had made my melasma worse. Dr. did great job, also prescribed post treatment hydroquinone after treatment until follow up. They used cold air on my skin for pain and skin protection. My melasma is 90 percent better thank you!
Happy Belated National Doctor’s Day! Cannot express how thankful I found this place and Dr, O’Connell. After gaining weight, feeling depressed, near divorce, I kept asking for answers from my primary care physician who prescribed antidepressants which caused further weight gain, sexual dysfunction, and anxiety. Fed up I did my own research and discovered that I may be low in Testosterone. I had consult with Dr. O, we performed lab tests. He presented articles, and literature to support his methods. 9 months later I have lost weight, saved my marriage, just ran a 10k, work is better than ever. Objectively my insulin resistance has gone down, lipids have improved, estradiol is up ( which he doesn’t block)- as opposed to many other opinions. Feeling great. Thanks Doc!

I initially discovered serenity rejuvenation center from viewing a laser hair removal promo I saw on groupon. I then went on their website as well as yelp to see what other services they offered along with other people testimonies.
First off, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this place was a one stop shop (for self improvement) to get all the services that I was interested in.
Secondly, I was VERY impressed how quickly and upfront they responded to my email. Some places make you jump through hoops just to get pricing on their services. This place didn’t. I emailed them what I was interested in and they provided me with the price and setup my initial appointment via email.
Third, the staff is great!!! All of the people here that I’ve dealt with are very helpful, kind and informative about the services they offer.
Fourth, the location is very convenient!!!! Located on a main drag… close to the freeway, shopping and downtown bellevue.
Those are my top 4 things in general that I really like about serenity rejuvenation center.
As for the services I purchased from serenity rejuvenation center…. First, I gotten the laser hair removal package off of groupon. I just finished my second treatment (you get three) and I can see a reduction for sure. Hair is still growing but not coming in as strong as before in some spots.
Also, I just had my second treatment and most people need 3-6 treatments. So its to soon to give a complete review on that.
The other thing I purchased was their weight lost program. I’m currently on my second round and its been great. I lost 29.8 pounds on the first round and I already lost 9.7 pounds during my second round (only been one week on second round). Its a tough program (especially at first) but Dr. O’Connell provides good tips and info to help you through.
This place is worth checking out for sure!

I’ve been going to this place for over a year now for laser hair removal. I’ve had a great experience. I have been happy with the results and rates they charge are very reasonable. The premises are very clean. My technician is Rubye and she is amazing. She works with my tolerance level and lets me have breaks appropriate to my sensitivity. I’ve appreciated the continuity in being able to have a single technician for the duration of the treatment of areas. I’ve recommended it to several friends and recommend it to those who are considering laser hair removal.
Serenity was recommended to me by a fellow nurse and I was very pleased with the laser hair removal services I received. Dr O’Connell gave me honest advice about the services I originally requested and recommended a very satisfactory alternative. I’ve completed three treatments and every visit was easy to schedule, on time, and the technicians were professional and pleasant. I am waiting a few months to see if I will even need any further treatments because I’m so pleased with the results. Laser treatment is so much less painful than the years of sugaring and waxing! I have sensitive skin and I tolerated the treatments with minimal irritation lasting less than 24hrs. I wish I had made this investment years ago. I do recommend purchasing the numbing ointment, but even in the spots that I missed, it still was less painful than waxing/sugaring. I highly recommend Serenity Rejuvenation Center and hope to return for other services as well.
I had the most horrific experience with Dr O’Connell at Serenity Rejuvenation. First, he was about 45 minutes late. No apology, no nothing, just an air of arrogance. Then when I was all ready for the hair removal procedure, he had to step out of the room, leaving me waiting for another 20 minutes. Again, no apology. Then when we finally get around to doing the procedure, he aggressively applies the machine nozzle or whatever it’s called to my under arm causing severe pain. The whole time, his assistant is in the corner yawning. Really bad experience, poor bedside manner. Or maybe he’s just inexperienced.
