If you’re googling “best plastic surgeon”, you can stop your search right now. You’ve come across Dr. Ridgway, and are reading the reviews to see if he is what you are looking for. Trust me. He is. And more. I had rhinoplasty in October 2020, and couldn’t be happier. From my very first inquiry to their office, I felt like I was important to them and they really cared about me. Throughout the entire process, they made me feel like I was their ONLY patient.
Starting with the consult, you feel respected and listened to. Never rushed, never pushed. Dr. Ridgway is an artist, and will thoughtfully study you while you’re talking. He’ll combine your hopes and dreams with his expertise and knowledge to achieve the perfect result. I went into the consult with a very specific idea of how I wanted my nose to look. He took the time to explain what would and would not work in that scenario. I basically went in wanting someone else’s nose on my face, which wasn’t realistic. He showed me how to have MY nose on MY face, which was so much better! Way more natural, and blends perfectly with the rest of my features.
The surgery went smoothly, NO post op issues at all, and any questions I ever had were quickly taken care of. You’re even given Dr. Ridgway’s cell number, in case you have a question after hours or on the weekend. And yes, it’s his REAL number, because I did have an after hours question and he answered me right away. 😊
This office is top notch, and every person you deal with makes you feel first class. Everyone is so down to earth, compassionate, kind, patient, and truly go the extra mile to make your experience the absolute best.

I had never had a surgery before in my life, but decided that I didn’t like how my eyelids were getting lower and lower and my eyes looked closed in pictures. I did a ton of research when selecting Dr Ridgway and I am so glad I did. I was scared to death to have this work done for many reasons. Him and his staff are so amazing though, that I would recommend them hands down to anyone. They take such good care of you. Not only that, but Dr. Ridgway is extremely talented. My husband was really freaked out by me wanting to do this, but now admits that I do look better, prettier, etc. I am really happy with the work and also feel like I can get away with less makeup now. I had my first rhinoplasty done by another Seattle based surgeon in 2014 and years afterward when I knew I needed a revision I had consultations with multiple surgeons across Seattle and Bellevue, but I always left feeling empty, no connection to the doctor, and like I was just another transaction in and out of the office. I learned of Dr. James Ridgway by recommendation of SkinSpirit in University Village and had my first consultation with James in December 2019 about a revision rhinoplasty and some other minor concerns. The office at the time had just finished renovating the space and recently moved in. The office is absolutely lovely with beautiful views out of every window. My first impression of James was he was personable, a little quirky, but boy does he know his stuff. He’ll listen to your concerns and in my case, not only acknowledge my concern/problem is valid, but then goes beyond to explain the anatomy of your face and what’s the probable cause of your concern which gave me comfort of being understood and that I was in good knowledgeable hands. James’ approach is very conservative, meaning he’s not the Dr. that’s going to alienate you; he prides himself on his work and believes in natural looking results. The thing I most appreciated about James and the office is you feel like you are being taken care of and are never ever rushed. For any rhinoplasty consultation, they have you come in as the last appointment of the day and you and James sit down at his computer and for as long as it takes, you together simulate what you want your nose to look it all while discussing realistically what results are actually achievable for you. I decided not to go forward with my rhinoplasty surgery until March 2021, but up until my surgery I had been in the office multiple other times for filler appointments. Leading up to my surgery, James and all the staff were so attentive and informative for every pre-op appointment. I never felt like something was unanswered or I didn’t know the next steps or what was supposed to happen. My day of surgery also felt like a complete 180 from my initial surgery in 2014. I felt completely catered to and waited on, spending time with the nurse, the Dr., and with the anesthesiologist. I’m 7mo out from my surgery and I absolutely love my results. During my 6mo post-surgery check-in James asked me if there was anything that him or the team could have done better and I’ve spent weeks pondering that question. If I were to complain about anything it would be sometimes you do have to wait a while, well pass your appt. time, to be seen, but on the flip side of that as I mentioned earlier, when you’re with the Dr. you are the only focus and he spends that dedicated time with you. I feel like I’m now part of the Ridgway family and would recommend going there in heartbeat for any facial cosmetic concerns. Could not be happier, can’t recommend enough. <3
I have nothing but high praise for Dr Ridgway & his entire staff. I consulted with several doctors before deciding to use Dr Ridgway for my procedures. Every step of the way I felt like I was under the very best care & very well informed about every detail. One of the biggest selling points for me was how much time he spent with me at every appointment & the extra time & care taken with every procedure, he is truly a gifted surgeon of the highest caliber. I wouldn’t think of trusting the care of my face to anyone else. Kudos for creating such an amazing state of the art facility/space filled with the most compassionate & efficient staff. I could not have asked for better treatment and experience. Dr. Ridgway’s staff are immaculate. I am always treated with kindness and patience, and Dr. Ridgway himself is so welcoming, empathetic, and iwilling to do whatever you need so that you are satisfied with your results, whatever your procedure may be. My healing was so good, no body could even tell that I was just operated on! I cannot say enough about how pleasant my experience with Dr. Ridgway has been. He and his team have earned my full trust and confidence.
Dr. Ridgeway office was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I was not ready for any major plastic surgery but my eyes looked tired, puffy, and I was looking for various treatment options. My whole experience and recovery after the upper and under eye procedure with Dr. Ridgeway was truly easy-breezy. The admin and clinical team that took care of me: Pam, Darcy, Kristina, have been genuinely wonderful, very attentive, and accessible at all times. I had the skin on my upper eyelids removed, which to my surprise, did not hurt during recovery. The stitches were removed after one week and the red-looking incision lines disappeared completely very fast, probably at week 7. My eyelids were a little sensitive to the touch while healing but there was no actual pain. Under eye procedure was even easier to grasp; I had hollowness below the eyes, which did not require an incision. Dr. Ridgeway added volume to this area by injecting fatty tissues, transferred from my inner thigh. Again, no pain at all! During my recovery, there was some swelling and gentle yellowish bruising under my eyes for about 2 weeks. I started working out again at week 6. I did follow Dr.Ridgeway’s recovery guidelines and recommendations even though my mind was ready to get back on track 2 weeks after the procedure. It was a truly great experience.
Being a younger guy, I had no idea what I was getting into in terms of plastic surgery, particularly Rhinoplasties.
I took a chance with Dr. Ridgway and I’m 100% glad I did. A lot of plastic surgeons I inquired with either had 3 month long waiting periods to get a consultation AND would only do Zoom calls for the initial appointment. I called Dr. Ridgway’s office and had an in person consultation scheduled as soon as I could get in, without any waiting lists or anything!
Dr. Ridgway’s clinic is incredibly nice. The waiting room, exam rooms, and especially the surgery suite are superbly clean and modern. I love that his surgeries are done in house, rather than having them done at another surgery center.
Dr. Ridgway is genuinely a good guy, with a no B.S. approach that I really appreciate. He’s not a salesman and is completely honest and transparent about everything that they do. He kept my expectations real in regards to surgery and I was never caught off guard!

The staff and nurses are super nice and helpful! Shout out to CJ who was my nurse when I had my Pre-Anesthetic diagnostics done, as well as during my surgery. She was very nice, helpful and great to work with!
I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Ridgeway and his staff. When I first started my rhinoplasty search I reached out about a consultation and was immediately impressed. Not only is the location clean and top of the line but the staff was very welcoming and kind. During the consultation, Dr. Ridgway not only answered each question I had, but he went into depth and full on conversation to further explain and make me at ease with the idea of the procedure. He also informed me how doing a septorhinoplasty would be more beneficial than just a rhinoplasty which I am extremely thankful for because during the procedure we found that my left nostril was 85% closed (as you can imagine I breathe a world better now!) After deciding to move forward with the septorhinoplasty procedure I would think of questions along the way and each time the staff had no problem scheduling me in right away. Leading up to the procedure I was well informed of pre and post instructions and felt I truly had the directions and everything I needed for recovery.
Having any body change, let alone face is a very scary thought. However, there is truly nothing I would change or do differently because my experience with Dr. Ridgway and his staff was just that incredible and smooth. One of my favorite compliments I receive post recovery is how natural my nose looks! Scarring was minimal and my nose fits be better than before.
Outside of skill and quality – I highly recommend Dr. Ridgway and his staff because everyone is well educated and helpful. During one of my post-operation appointments I spoke with the master estetician (Darcy) who stayed late just to answer all my questions on dermaplaning, hydrafacials, and which products I should be using. I ended up moving forward and getting a dermaplane/deluxe hydrafacial right before my wedding and have no regrets! My face has never felt better and is in great condition. First time it has actually glowed!
Overall, if you are researching for a rhinoplasty/septorhinoplasty (or anything facial treatment related) I truly highly recommend Dr.Ridgway and his staff because they are professional, deliver quality work and over perform in all categories!
I am so happy with my rhinoplasty results! I went to a few different doctors for consultations and Dr. Ridgway really listened to what I wanted and I didn’t feel that way at other consultations. I also didn’t feel rushed in making the decision to move forward with surgery which I really appreciated. My profile is exactly what I wanted and I can finally breathe! The staff that works here is amazing. I had the pleasure of working with Darcy, Ashley, CJ and Kim. They are all wonderful and made me feel so comfortable. Ashley and Darcy are the two people I saw first at the front desk and they are the sweetest people! CJ was my pre-op nurse day of surgery. I was super nervous – surgery on your face is a huge deal! CJ made me feel so comfortable and I honestly hardly felt a thing when she put my IV in – something that I had passed out from multiple times in the past. Kim took out my stitches – I was a nervous reck and she was so patient with me and calmed me down. Thank you to Dr. Ridgway and his entire staff!

Dr. Ridgway and his team truly deserve 5 stars. My experience from the initial consult, to my rhinoplasty in December 2020, to the post-op visits have been phenomenal. I highly recommend his team for your plastic surgery needs.
Staff – The ENTIRE team is professional, welcoming, friendly, helpful, and skilled. They are organized and knowledgeable. I felt completely safe in their care. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel like a VIP every time I walked in. In addition, Dr. Ridgway uses highly experienced anesthesiologists which was comforting to me.
Dr. Ridgway is incredibly talented and patient. He genuinely cared about my wants while putting safety first. Another important thing to note is that I am ethnically Filipina and African American. I had some anxiety about finding a surgeon that could preserve my ethnic identity while giving me a more narrow nose. I believe that the results did so and my family agrees.
Results – Life changing. It may seem subtle to some, but Dr. Ridgway work has given me further confidence to smile and take close up photos. I didn’t like the width of my nose and disliked how it looked when I smiled. My nose looks exactly as planned. There is zero evidence of surgery and it looks natural. I feel like my nose blends in with the rest of my features now! Do it!
Recovery – Dr. Ridgway and his staff were great at preparing me for what to expect during recovery. As with many invasive surgery comes some pain. However, I was fairly comfortable on the prescribed medications. I was also given bacitracin, oral antibiotics, and anti-nausea medication. I was as comfortable as I could get sleeping while sitting up. I went back to work with minimal swelling in 2 weeks. I did not experience much bruising, if any.
I had a post op visit at 1 week, 3 months, and will have my 6 months check-up tomorrow. The RN will take progress photos for your chart at each visit. If there was anything amiss in between a visit, they were easy to reach on their phone or via email. Dr. Ridgway was available 24/7 postoperatively for any concerns.
Atmosphere – Their office is beautiful, clean, and quiet. Each exam room and the operating room have amazing views of the surrounding area. They always offer something to drink.
Covid – Masks were required during my visits. Rooms appeared clean and the staff conducted proper hand hygiene. A covid test was completed on the day of my surgery and resulted in a short amount of time.
Dr. Ridgway is a gifted surgeon that performs top notch work. His staff are caring people that will become your cheerleaders and advocates for your surgery, along with Dr. Ridgway.
Dr. Ridgway is not only the epitome of professionalism and integrity, he’s also extremely kind and with you every step of the way. I came in looking to improve the appearance of some biopsy scars and it’s been a fantastic experience so far. He truly cares about helping you fix whatever you’re looking to fix and is dedicated to helping achieve your happiness. I look forward to every appointment and can’t wait for the end results (but things are already looking so much better than when I first came in). Without a doubt, I highly recommend Dr. Ridgway.

What I brought to Dr. Ridgway: etched-in nasal labial folds, saggy jowls, a big ol’ turkey wattle under my chin, and eye bags as crinkled as tissue paper. Dr Ridgeway is an amazing plastic surgeon. I contemplated fixing my neck and lower face for 10 years. I finally selected Dr Ridgeway after numerous consults with other Drs as well. I could not be happier with the results. His stitches are meticulous. I wear my hair back without feeling self conscious. If I knew his results were this great, I would have done the surgery years earlier with Dr Ridgeway.

I am forever thankful for the impact Dr. Ridgway made on my life and the immense value he added. I’m so thankful the Ridgway Face and Aesthetic Center exists! From my very first phone call to their office and throughout my entire experience I have been in awe at how incredibly I’ve been treated. All the staff are beautiful, kind, professional and ready to help you with all of your needs. When you walk into their office, it is so refreshing and it feels good! After my first consultation with Dr. Ridgway, I knew he was going to be my surgeon. It was very easy to make my decision because of the person that Dr. Ridgway is and because of his phenomenal background and experience. He is very patient with listening to understand your needs and answering any questions you may have. Initially, I was impressed with Dr. Ridgway’s training, certifications and recognitions, all stellar. The many excellent online reviews from his patients were also a draw for me. Upon my first visit, I came to appreciate firsthand his personalized patient care. He listened attentively to my concerns and addressed them by achieving natural-looking results; my appearance was fresher and more youthful looking, but not “frozen.” It is apparent that he approaches his craft with the “eye of an artist” in order to create the most pleasing outcome possible for each individual under his care.
