Microneedling - Skincare
Description
Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a small device called a dermaroller, which contains tiny needles, to create microscopic punctures in the skin. The punctures stimulate the body’s natural healing response, which can lead to increased collagen production, skin rejuvenation, and improved skin texture and tone.
During the procedure, the dermaroller is rolled over the skin, creating small punctures. The needles are very small, typically ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 millimeters in length, and the depth of the punctures can be adjusted depending on the desired effect and the area being treated.
Microneedling is commonly used to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and uneven skin texture. It can be performed on various parts of the body, including the face, neck, chest, and hands. The procedure is minimally invasive and typically requires little to no downtime, though some redness and swelling may occur immediately after the treatment.
Microneedling can be done at a dermatologist’s office, medical spa, or other specialized clinics, and it is usually performed by trained professionals. In some cases, topical anesthetics may be used to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
