Sciton HALO - Laser Resurfacing
Description
The Sciton Halo is a hybrid fractional laser system developed by Sciton Inc., a manufacturer of medical and aesthetic lasers and light source technologies.
The Halo laser system is unique because it combines two types of lasers in one treatment: ablative and non-ablative.
- Ablative lasers work by vaporizing the top layers of skin, which stimulates the skin’s healing response and promotes the growth of new, healthy skin. This type of laser is often used for more severe skin concerns, such as deep wrinkles and significant sun damage. However, ablative lasers usually have a longer recovery period.
- Non-ablative lasers heat up the underlying skin tissue without harming the surface of the skin. This promotes collagen growth and tightens underlying skin, which can improve skin tone and texture, reduce fine lines, and fade brown spots and other pigmentation. Non-ablative lasers have less downtime compared to ablative lasers, but the results are often more subtle and may require multiple treatments.
The Halo laser system is designed to deliver the benefits of both ablative and non-ablative lasers, providing significant results with less downtime than would typically be associated with an ablative laser treatment alone. It can be used to address a variety of skin concerns, including wrinkles, sun damage, scars, and enlarged pores.
As always, it’s important to consult with a medical professional or a skincare specialist to determine the most appropriate treatment for any individual’s specific skin concerns.
